Facility Academy at
Ivy Ridge sits on 250 acres of land. A majority of the land is a
forest. Occasionally we spot flocks of wild turkeys and deer. There
are groomed nature trails in the woods used for education and
recreation. There are
four buildings that make up our 200,000 square foot campus. The main
administration building
houses the offices of our administrative staff and our Family Reps. This
building also contains our educational facilities: classrooms, science labs,
computer lab and resource centers for We have a male and a female upper level activity room in a home-like setting. There also is a room specially designed for our families. Whether the family is just bringing their child to the school or coming for an on-campus visit, it's a place for them to be together. The dining room, fully equipped kitchen and 200 bed dormitory occupy a portion of this building. An added touch to this building is the courtyard and flower gardens. It is beautifully landscaped and complete with a white gazebo. In one of
the other buildings we have our 50,000 volume library. It is augmented
with study areas, additional classrooms and a seminar room. Also there is
another building which houses a 400 bed dormitory and a large common area.
There is a weight room with padded flooring, team room, two large locker rooms,
On our campus we have wood-chipped cross-country trails, nature trails, tennis courts, basketball courts and sand volleyball. Also there are baseball, football and soccer fields. We have a newly resurfaced indoor gym/basketball court.
